Traditional Bluestone Putty

MUST HAVE FOR WINTER

Clean the area with a brush to remove excess dirt and then pack the putty into the hoof cracks, sides of the frog, and any other hoof irregularities.

Take desired amount of putty and massage between fingers until pliable to mold into affected area of hoof. Apply & pack area until completely full and blend the putty to surface area of hoof to seal. This will help keep out moisture while putty does its work.

Reapply every 4-5 days until  conditioned then reapply as needed.

NOTE: If product is too hard ( occurs in winter) to remove some from container use a hairdryer to warm enough to remove desired amount and massage between fingers till pliable enough to apply. Store in a warm place.

Unfortunately I didn’t take photos but when my big boy arrived he was suffering terribly from thrush, seedy toe, splits, cracks, frogs were in terrible condition and very long brittle unkept hooves causing lameness in 3 feet, he was a very sad and sorry boy .

I can say with certainty that the combination of a really good farrier and the bluestone putty has made a huge difference in the health of his hooves in less than 3 months. We’ve had a real dose of wet weather recently and I thought for sure we’d have regressed somewhat with the constant wet and mud but his hooves have never been better.

Can’t recommend this product enough and so easy to use… I just clean the area with a brush to remove excess dirt and then pack the putty into the hoof cracks, sides of the frog, and any other hoof irregularities. Great stuff.
